“Sumud” Linocut Print

Sumud translates to “steadfastness” and is a way of life for Palestinians resisting occupation. It is the idea of being rooted in the land, that sometimes options for resistance may be limited, but that simply refusing to leave is a powerful action. This 6″x 9″ print depicts the olive tree (a common symbol of Palestinian sumud), a woman in traditional dress, and a cat, all rooted into the earth. Fifty percent of the sales of this print will be donated to e-SIMs for Gaza or directly to verified Palestinian mutual aid funds.
